What powers Word Lab

What the tools are built on

The word-search tools share one validated in-browser dictionary of 94,000 English words, drawn from the public-domain ENABLE word list, a supplementary word list, and Word Helper's published word pages. The writing clarity tools analyse the text you paste using simple, transparent rules — also entirely in your browser.

Letter frequency matching ensures results are accurate: a word only appears if all its letters can be built from the letters you entered. Duplicates are handled correctly — two copies of a letter require two copies in the input.

Rhyme and syllable tools use pattern-matching logic, with clear notes on where accent and dialect variation can affect results.
