FAQ

Questions people ask

Who writes the content on Word Helper?

Word data is compiled from openly licensed sources (Datamuse/Wiktionary, the Free Dictionary API, and the public-domain ENABLE list), then standardized, quality-checked, and structured by the Word Helper Editorial Team. Example sentences may be AI-assisted and are screened for accuracy; definitions and etymologies are not AI-authored.

Does Word Helper have credentialed linguists or named expert authors?

No. Word Helper is a small editorial project created and maintained by Jay Sudha, working under the collective name Word Helper Editorial Team. We do not claim individual academic credentials, named expert authors, or institutional affiliation — we are transparent about being a practical word-tools project.

How do I report a mistake on a word page?

Use the corrections page, which has a pre-filled report link for each type of issue (definition, example, synonym, pronunciation, and more), or email hello@wordhelper.online with the page URL and what looks wrong. Verified corrections are applied to the source data and the page is rebuilt.
