Word data and open sources
Word Helper builds its word pages and tools on openly licensed and public-domain language data — chiefly the Datamuse API (which draws on Wiktionary, available under CC BY-SA 3.0), the Free Dictionary API, and the public-domain ENABLE word list. Word Helper does not scrape or republish content from commercial dictionaries. Full sourcing and licensing is documented in the Editorial Policy.
Word Helper's own content
The site's original writing — guides, curated word lists, tool explanations, editorial notes, page formatting, and the site design — is created by Word Helper and © 2026 Word Helper. You are welcome to link to and use tool results in your own work; please do not republish the site's editorial content commercially without permission, as set out in the Terms.
Copyright and DMCA requests
If you believe any content on Word Helper infringes a copyright you own or represent, contact us and we will review it promptly. Please email hello@wordhelper.online and include:
- The exact URL(s) on Word Helper you are reporting.
- A description of the copyrighted work you believe has been used.
- Your relationship to the work (owner or authorised representative).
- Your contact details so we can follow up.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law.
Verified requests are handled as a high priority — content is reviewed and revised or removed as appropriate. You can also start from the corrections page, which has a copyright option.
